If you’re a music professional, you must know about RCF PA speakers and their popularity.
To check if this popularity is consistent with its quality or is it just a sham, our team decided to test the RCS’s Studio Monitor in detail.
In this post, we’ll review the model in detail and walk you through its features, pros, cons, a buying guide, and much more.
Quick Summary of the Main Product
Music professionals usually have large audio systems for playing music. RCF’s Studio Monitor is a relatively simpler and compact system for music professionals. With dimensions of nearly 8x6x9 inches and a weight of 10 pounds, it delivers excellent performance. You can use them for your pc or simply anywhere if you’ve got a taste for quality audio.
The thing we liked the most about the speaker is the quality components it has. The audio system consists of a 6.5-inch woofer with composite fiberglass fitted in the lower-middle part, a 1-inch tweeter having a soft-dome design with 1-inch cooled ferrofluid right above the woofer with a cone-shaped opening. The manufacturing materials nail the quality mark to pass in the hi-fi range.
Talking about sound quality, the quality audio component allows it to deliver sharp sound. Almost at all volumes, the speakers give a consistent and clear sound. The frequency response ranges from 50 Hz to 20 kHz which encompasses all necessary frequencies. Volume-wise, it can reach a max SPL of 109 dB. The value simply says that you don’t need to worry about the loudness. Also, you can vary high and low frequencies by 2 and 3 dB.
Professionally, the speaker is quite handy to use. It can cover areas falling in 110-degree horizontal front and 70 degrees vertical. You can expect two of these speakers to cover a medium room. Input pots include an XLR, a jack, and an RCA. Also, they’re quite easy to break up, pack, and carry which really helps if you’ve to perform at different places.
They are great speakers for most of the part. The only thing one can frown upon is that they can be insufficient for a large room. Also, the price is higher than that of average PA speakers.
Features and Benefits
They’ve got dimensions of 8 x 5.7 x 8.8 inches. The dimensions are quite compact as compared to the volume they give. The size also helps with transportation.
The speaker has got a weight of roughly 10 pounds (without accessories). Compared to other speakers delivering the same volume, it is above the line.
The model has a power-handling of 55 W that peaks at 110 watts. RCF also offers higher power models, if that is your need. The volume is enough to fill a medium room.
It responds to frequencies between 50 Hz and 20 kHz. The range is decent enough to give it a deep bass and a good treble.
It has a 6.5-inch woofer that plays the lows and mids. The woofer’s performance is very impressive. You can expect good bass from it.
A soft-dome 1-inch tweeter gives quite a great treble to the highs. They are sharp and clear at all volumes.
Neodymium magnet gives it a lightweight body and a great sound quality.
The cabinet and case are made of MDF chemicals.
Pros and Cons
We scoured the internet to find out what people are thinking about the speaker. In our observation, most of the buyers were DJs, music producers, and signers. To a large degree, people were satisfied with the working of the product. They found the bass, mids, and treble apt for their work. Some people also bought the speaker for PCs and home audio systems. They also reported decent results. We didn’t observe people reporting any shortcomings but a few buyers found technical faults in the speaker. Overall, buyers seemed to be satisfied with its working.
#1: Best Loud-volume Speaker - RCF ART-310-MK3 Speaker Review
RCF’s ART-310-MK3 is the medium hall model of Rcf’s PA speaker series. The speaker has a floor-standing body with a 10-inch woofer at the lower-front of the speaker that is covered with a grille. A tweeter is situated in the center of an inward-dipping cone. The upper part has a handle to make it carriable and on the back of the speaker is the control panel of the speaker.
Sound-wise, the speaker gives great results for all frequencies. It is loud enough to be used in a medium hall. The best thing about the speaker is unlike highly ornate speakers, it has a simple and straight body but the sound reaches the hi-fi sound tear. Also, the audio is well-directed and has balanced bass and treble.
The materials used are solid and durable. The speaker has a neodymium magnet and a copper voice coil. The tweeter uses titanium for its driver. Polypropylene is the primary constituent of the enclosure. Mounting equipment includes a pole, floor wedge, and a fly.
For most of the part, the RCF art speaker gives great results. One of the few imperfections we found in the speaker is its relatively flat lows. The other one being that the output switch in the back is not handy to use. It could be made better.

Guide to Buy
While buying a PA speaker for home or work, there a few things that you should always keep in mind. Otherwise, you may end up buying something that you’ll regret putting your hand on. Here, we have detailed all the facts and tricks you’ll need to get the best deal for yourself.
Why PA Speakers?
PA speakers are generally used by professionals like DJs, music producers, or performers. They are also used in public places, large auditoriums, halls, and churches to give optimum audio results. They are best known for their rich harmonics, quality components, loud volume, and great sound quality.
Generally, a PA speaker consists of two or three components: a woofer/subwoofer, a tweeter, and a mid-range speaker in some cases. The woofer is responsible to handle lower frequencies of the audio line ranging up to 6 kHz. The tweeter handles the higher end of the frequencies. Some speakers also have a mid-range speaker that plays the ‘in-between’ frequencies.
Qualities to Look for
The volume needed depends upon the place where you’re going to use the speaker. If you’re buying speakers for home use, a 6-inch woofer sized speaker will do for you. But if you’re finding a speaker for large rooms, you should look for larger volumes.
Bass & Treble
The other thing is the bass and treble in the voice of the speaker. Check the quality of the woofer, tweeter, and the magnets used in them. Also, check buyers’ reviews to make your opinion about them.
The worst thing a speaker could have is distortion. Make sure the speakers you buy doesn’t have any kind of distortion at all volumes. You can go through buyers’ reviews to find out if any of the users experienced distortion in the audio of the speaker.
Features to Look for
Materials of the speaker matter a lot. Check out the composition of different components of the speaker. Also, check if anyone has reported technical faults before.
Most of the PA speakers are used by mounting on poles. Firstly, check if the speaker comes with the necessary mounting accessories. Find out how it works when put on the floor. Also, check buyers’ rating for set up difficulty.
Look for the controls, Input, and outputs options you desire to have in the speaker. Also, don’t forget to check the cabinet and grille quality of the speaker.
