Gaming – Play

For the most part, there are three basic ways to play games. You can either choose between a TV, laptop, or mobile device. 

To make it easier on yourself, we also suggest you use platforms such as Twitch and YouTube to see what the game looks like before you purchase them. 

So, which platform is right for you?

Computer Gaming 

Computer or PC gaming is a much more advanced way of gaming. Therefore, if you’re a complete novice, we would recommend you start with something else. 

However, if you do have some grip on the world of gaming it’s a great way to experience games on a deeper level. 

In terms of games, PCs have a wide selection. If you have Windows and Mac, Steam is the best place to start. You’ll find many free and new titles here. 

If you have a reasonably powerful PC, you can access a broader selection of games on platforms such as the Epic Game Store. 

However, if you don’t have a powerful processor but still want to experience graphically demanding games, Google Stadia is the way to go. 

It’s a cloud gaming service that allows you to play fast-paced games on any TV or computer as long as it can support the Chrome browser. You can read more about cloud gaming here. 

The catch is that it’s $130 and you’ll need a high-speed internet connection.

Mobile Gaming 

This is the most popular way to play games because chances are you already own a mobile. 

However, some games are designed to extract money from you, therefore we suggest you be careful with what you play. 

If you want to play ads free, your best bet is Apple Arcade. For $4.99 a month, it gives you access to 110 games. But, most of these are children’s games and you’ll need to look through them to find something suitable for yourself.

Console Gaming 

We still think the best gaming experience comes from playing games on your TV. 

What console you need comes down to your personal choice. You can either go with Playstation or Xbox. 

Both Microsoft and Sony also have their own gaming stores that you can use to find your favorite games.
