Chinese technology company Huawei is reportedly planning to release two new smartphones later this year. According to sources who claim to know about the upcoming devices, Huawei could be launching them in March 2023.
Rumors initially claimed that the new Huawei flagships would be powered by Kirin chips, but now they say that these phones won’t use them.
It seems that both Mate 60 and P60 could be equipped with Snapdragon chips. However, the new flagship phones might not support 5G connectivity.

Huawei Mate 60
According to the popular tipster Teme who uses @rodent950 as his Twitter handle, the upcoming Huawei Mate 60 could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip with the codename SM 8525.
However, the original version of the phone was called SM8550. This might suggest that the SM8525 is the 4G version.
Huawei P60
He also talked about Huawei’s new flagship smartphone, the P60, using an old chipset which is the Snapdragon 8.
4G
He suggested that both phones might possibly come with only 4g modems.
Launching
He also claims both phones may be launched by March next. As Huawei plans to release them in March of next.

Aperture Lens
There are other reports that talk a bit about the specs of the upcoming devices. It is reported that the Vanilla Huawei P60 will feature the same variable aperture lens that this year’s Huawei Mate 50 Pro used.
