Within the first season of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, Outlaw Rogues are currently reigning supreme for both Raids and Mythic+ – with all rogue specs faring incredibly well in these types of content.
With the best equipment, it will be much easier to reach the highest DPS ranks. This article outlines all of the top items that can be acquired from those instances.
As we are going over, several crucial details should be noted such as stat priority, the rationale behind each item choice, and how to simulate your character to find the best item compatible with your current equipment.
For those who are experienced players, use the table below to quickly find the optimal item for any equipment by going directly to its item slot.
Outlaw Rogue Best in Slot Stat Priority
The Best In Slot choices in this guide depends on whether the item has the two most essential secondary stats to raise damage output.
Although it’s not always the case, sometimes a piece of gear will have the top two stats together. In these scenarios, you could also choose the first and third stat or the second and third stat instead.
When considering items that are close in ilvl when playing an Outlaw Rogue, prioritize the following:
Stat Priority
- Agility
- Versatility
- Critical Strike
- Mastery
- Haste
- Often, Agility is the most powerful factor in determining how beneficial an item will be.
- Critical Strikes and Versatility both add to your damage, meaning they essentially have the same value.
- Mastery is important for the success of Main Gauche.
- Haste has lower efficiency, therefore is less important. Nonetheless, it will boost attack speed, enhance damage from continuous damage effects like bleeds and poisons, and passively foster energy regeneration.
Important Notes For BiS Lists
It’s important to keep in mind that an increase in ilvl by over 10 points usually results in the higher ilvl item being better. When there’s only a 5 ilvl difference, you should compare their stats based on stat priorities to see which one is better.
Bear in mind that diminishing returns will eventually be the case for secondary stats, the calculations for which go as follows:
- No penalty if the stat goes from 0 to 30%.
- If a stat is between 30-39%, there will be a 10% penalty.
- The stat 39% to 47%, leads to a 20% penalty.
- A 30% penalty from 47%-54% on a stat.
- There is a 40% penalty for going from 54% to 66% in a stat.
- Stat decreased by 50% – from 66% to 126%.
Even if you have already reached 30% of a secondary stat, an item with a lesser priority stat may be a better upgrade. This is why simulating your gear is crucial. To make this easier, we offer the best-suited item for each slot without taking stats capping into account.
The ideal amount will always depend on what’s happening. You can also use a tool like RaidBots to identify exactly which elements you should prioritize.

Outlaw Rogue BiS Gear
The items in these lists may be from Raids, Mythic+, or The Vault. Their item level will be based on instance difficulty (Normal, Heroic, Mythic, or Mythic+ 1-20).
This list will not specify Renown or Crafting items but guide you to what dungeons or raids to attend to get your best equipment from those sources.
For you to easily compare, the item tooltips display Mythic Level 9 or Normal Difficulty for Raid Item Level versions of the item.
