There are no solid clues yet about when we might see the new Apple Watch Series 9.

However, Apple’s been fairly consistent with the announcements and the releases of its smartwatches, so there’s a very high chance the next premium smartwatch will be unveiled in September of next year.

We expect to release a rectangular Apple Watch Series 8 with two cases: one 42 mm and another 44 mm. You will likely be offered an option to buy either an aluminum or stainless steel band.

We expect a similar design for the new Apple Watch series 9

Some people think that the Series 9 might borrow from the Apple Watch Ultra’s design.

The Apple Watch Ultra is bigger, bulkier, and more rugged-looking. It does sound cool; however, it seems more likely Apple to release an Apple Watch Ultra 2 than to make the Series 9 look that sporty.

The Apple Watch Series 9 and how much thinner it is than the previous models.

We expect the digital touchpad and buttons to stay the same as well.

We don’t know anything about the colors of the Series 10 yet. However, they may be similar to previous models, including Midnight, Starlight, and Graphite. We’re expecting to learn more about them soon.

Apple Watch Series 9 Display

The Apple Watch Series 8 in 2020 was a huge step in the right direction for Apple and wearable technology. The bezel became noticeably thinner and the screen was quite large when compared to the Series 6.

The Apple Watch Series 8 has an always-on retina LCD touch panel, which means it doesn’t need to be charged every night. It’s protected against dust and scratches too, so you don’t have to worry about losing its beautiful finish. And because it’s brighter than ever before, you get comfortable viewing even when it’s sunny out.

We don’t know yet whether the new iPhone will feature an OLED screen, but we’re pretty sure that it won’t be a mini LED one.

It would be great to see an iPhone XS Max next year since the iPhone XS didn’t offer any major upgrades in terms of screen size.

Apple Watch Series 9 Battery

Apple Watch batteries haven’t gotten any better since they first launched. They’re still pretty good for their size, though.

The Series 8 has an impressive 18 hours of battery time and a new low-power mode that helps extend its lifespan by up to 36 hours. However, we’ve seen similar watches with longer battery lives on the marketplace.

We don’t know if there will be any changes to the battery capacity, but we’re hoping that the battery will last longer than before. If that doesn’t happen, then it won’t be a big problem.

The Apple Watch Series 8

According to official documents from Apple, the iPhone XS Max can be charged from 0% to 80% in about 45 minutes using an Apple USB-C Magnetic Charging Cable and a high-speed charger.

With the new MacBook Pro, we could probably expect some improvements, but even if Apple sticks with this performance, it’s still pretty good in our opinion.

Apple Watch Series 9 Features and Software

Apple Watches are very popular because of their health-related features. And Series 9 will certainly continue the trend. The regular features we’ve seen on high-end Apple Watches will surely be present for the Series 8.

These are blood oxygen monitors, sleep monitors, emergency SOS, and heart rate, monitors. Series 8 brought crash detection which we’ll probably see again for Series 9 as well.

We also hope that the body temperature monitor for women’s health in the Series 8 will be included in Series 9.

Hopefully, it will be made available for regular body temp monitoring and not just as an app for women’s cycle tracking apps.

There will be plenty of workout options for the Series 9. The series 8 already has a wide variety of different workouts available, and we’re sure Apple will continue to add new ones.

We also expect many existing health and wellness features to be improved upon with the new hardware.

Should I Wait for the Apple Watch Series 9?

At this point, we don’t know exactly what the upgrades for Apple Watch Series 9 will be. However, if you’re thinking about buying a new Apple Watch right now, you might want to consider doing so.

If you’re currently using a Series 7 and thinking about upgrading, you might consider waiting until after the Series 9 release date to see whether it will be worth buying one now.
