In 2021, Xiaomi unveiled its Xiaomi Pad 5 series of tablets in China and it later became available in many other countries around the world.

So far, Xiaomi has three models in its lineup – the Xiaomi Pad 5, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4. It is speculated that the company is creating a new series of tablets, called the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.

Up until now, a handful of rumors about the device have appeared online that hint as to what specs it could include.

MIUI Codes

Xiaomiui has recently released a report, based on exploring the MIUI codes, which indicates two future tablets named pipa and liuqin.

Reports suggest that The pipa and liuqin will launch as the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, respectively.

Launching

It’s expected that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series tablets will be rolled out in the first half of 2023 with China being the only region to get access to the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. Also, we now know the specifications for these forthcoming tablets – check them out below.

Xiaomi Pad 6 Specifications

Processor

According to Xiaomiui, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. This is the same chipset seen in the current Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, Oppo Pad, VivoPad, and Lenovo Legion Tab Y700.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 is a massive upgrade compared to the Xiaomi pad 5, which is currently powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 CPU.

Model Number

According to Xiaomiui, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be available in China, India and other international countries under the model number M82.

Refresh Rate

Reports suggest that the Xiaomi Pad 6’s display will have a 120Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro (Liuqin) Specs

Chipset

Rumor has it that the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, a powerful 4nm flagship tier chipset from Qualcomm which was soon afterward superseded by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Consequently, this inclusion of the chipset should make this one of the most capable android tablets available, and given the stellar graphics processing from the chipset, it will be highly sought-after by gamers.

Display

Additionally, the report states that the device has a 120Hz AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1880 × 2880 pixels.
