Games Leaving Game Pass

Besides the Square Enix RPG, there are several other games that are also going away on December 15.

  • Aliens: Fireteam Elite (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Breathedge (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Firewatch (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Lake (Cloud, Console, and PC)

  • Neoverse (Cloud and Console)

All of these titles are still available for download via Xbox Game Pass/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes subscriptions to both services. You can get them at a 20% discount until December 15.

After this, they’ll stop using the service and the discount will disappear. However, any and all of these apps could be added back at some point in the future, but it’s not very common, and if an app does come back after leaving for a long period of time, there’s usually a significant amount of time between the original release and the new one.

Games Coming to Game Pass

Spelunky 2

Spelunky 2 adds even more secret rooms and surprises into its ever-shifting walls, making mastering its unique brand of dungeon delivery even harder than before.

It’s one of gaming’s greatest titles, and you can count on its ratio to remain high because of just how difficult the game is for anyone except the most determined of gamers.

Nobody Saves the World

It’s an open-world role-playing game (RPG) where you gain the ability to transform your physical form into different shapes and sizes, becoming any kind of creature imaginable, then combining these various forms and abilities to create your very own unique character.

While some people might think that this new Sonic title was simply bumped up by the addition of the free games offered through Xbox Live Gold, you’d be wise to check it out for yourself. You’ll see that it could easily take down Sega’s mascot on its own merits alone!

Hitman Trilogy

As such, recruiting a triple-pack of some of the best modern Xbox stealth games into Game Pass was massive, with all three playable within the latest game’s engine to give players — particularly those on Xbox Series X|S — the definitive experience of this trio of great games.

This $100 bundle has been one of the single best values of Game Pass for Xbox One owners, and whenever people complain about a monthly Game Pass schedule drop for not having triple-A games, this is a good counterpoint to offer.

When they do appear, those big names always seem to be there first.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

It’s unlikely that many of you are actively playing a PS Vita in 2023, but seeing some of its best games make their way onto modern consoles is always great. Next up, Soul Sacrifice Delta!

The core DanganRonpa series consists of stylish visual novel-style adventure stories framed around murder mystery game elements, where characters compete in the battle for their own lives, and the subsequent court trials that determine who survives and who dies.

All three of these games are great, and you’ll want them all for different reasons, so pick one up today if you haven’t already. It may leave Game Pass soon, though, so don’t wait too long!

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

A huge triple pack for BioWare hits a subscription service like GamePass Ultimate.

Many hardcore fans probably bought the game when it was released in 2021, but some savvy gamers may have known to wait until the inevitable EA Play release.

And dropped it eight months after release, allowing us to re-release the game with new content and improvements, including a brand-new level of polish and detail.

Death’s Door

Our brave little crow must venture forth and forcibly claim the soul of those who has refused to be killed, placing bosses at the forefront while still making exploration of the various worlds important.

If Tunic proved difficult for you to understand, Death’s Door might be easier to grasp. However, its gameplay is not quite as simple as that of Tunic.

It was one of our favorite Xbox One games of 2020, and seeing it come to a whole new generation of players six years later thanks to Game Pass was really a delight — the more gamers who play Death’s Door, the better.

Eastward

Welcome to the charming town of Eastward, where the population is declining! Travel through a society on the brink of collapse, and discover delightful villages, strange animals, and even stranger people.

Use John’s trustful frying pan and Sam‘s mystical powers on an unusual journey into the unknown.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

After years on the run from threats both living and dead (and even some ghosts), a secluded boarding house might finally be their best hope for safety. But keeping it safe means making sacrifices. In this gripping, emotionally charged final season, your decisions will affect everyone around you — including Clementine.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service

Get ready for some fun and games by joining up to three friends and playing together in an interactive sandbox world where you can drive a delivery vehicle.

Deliveries are guaranteed to be delivered on time, even if they don’t always arrive safely.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

A memorable experience through the Star Wars universe with the largest lineup of LEGO Star Wars figures and vehicles ever created, new innovative gameplay mechanics, an expansive variety of planets to visit, and much more! Fans will retell the story of the Skywalker saga through the lens of humorous LEGO humor.

If you want to play through the entire Star Wars saga, starting from Episode 1 (A New Hope) on December 6th, then choose the beginning of any trilogy — including Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, or Star Wars: Return of the Jedi — and begin your journey on December 6th.

Hello Neighbor 2

Available on day one of Xbox Live Gold memberships: Hello Neighbor 2 is an action/stealth horror video game about uncovering your creepy neighbors’ secrets. Play against a complex AI controlled by an advanced player who learns from you and all other players.

Over the course of play, the Neighbor will adapt to the player’s patterns and behaviors, so the player must keep an eye on him and learn from his actions. Can you figure out what he’ll do next?

Chained Echoes

Available on day one: Valandis is in a state of civil unrest. Three kingdoms have been battling each other for generations. A new weapon of mass devastation has just been discovered. Will peace ever return?

One, which won’t last. Prepare yourself for a journey through a magical land full of wonder, magic, mechs, and charming creatures. Will you be able to make lasting friendships with your friends?

Conclusion

Microsoft announced that Game Pass would be coming to Xbox One on November 12th, 2019. This announcement came alongside the news that the company had acquired Mojang.

However, the acquisition didn’t include Minecraft itself, and Microsoft hasn’t said anything since.

So, we’re left wondering whether or not Game Pass will continue to work on Xbox One after the acquisition.

We’ve reached out to Microsoft for comment and will update this article when we hear back. Check out the latest news HERE.
