Developed by Arkane Studios, who is known for creating the games Deathloop, Prey, and Dishonored, Redfall will be an Xbox-exclusive title and is the first game of its kind to come from Microsoft’s ZeniMax Media acquisition.

Microsoft has announced that Redfall will be added to their Xbox and PC gaming console lineup in 2023, with a planned release in the first half of that year.

Reports, as well as our data, indicate that Redfall is aiming to launch in the first week of May 2023.

Rumors

Okami13 started the speculation that Redfall is likely to launch in early May.

We confirmed the news last week when Microsoft’s aim was to release the game by the beginning of May. It is believed that the launch will include an early access time frame similar to Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 offered a “premium edition” which gave buyers a few days of early access to the game, and Redfall may also be getting this treatment if all goes according to plan.

Redfall

In Redfall, up to four players can join forces to defeat a vampire outbreak and free the island of Redfall with drop-in co-op gameplay.

Prospective vampire hunters can look forward to utilizing creative weapons, combat abilities, and optional stealth tactics.

Immersive Sim

The developer highlights that the classic “immersive sim” style of gameplay Arkane is well known for is still accessible to those who wish for a more traditional experience.

Release

If everything works out, Arkane will launch in early May 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, and PCs via the Microsoft Store and Steam, with day one availability on Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft and the Xbox are expecting a great year due to Redfall, which will help make up for the lack of first-party games released in 2022.
