Are you wondering what is the VR game where you jump off a building?

We are here to tell you about that.

VR Game Where You Jump off Building

The VR experience where you jump from a building is called Richie’s Plank Experience (or RPE).

A psychological event that your visitors and guests may respond to with excitement, fear, or laughter

Richie’s Plank Experience

Richie’s plank experience was created to show people what virtual realities look like.

Gameplay

You start at ground level and walk up a flight of stairs until you reach the top of a building. When the door opens, all that’ll be there is a long, narrow wooden board.

Are you brave enough for it? Do you want to take the plunge and jump from the plank into space?

Plank Experience

Planks can be made even better by adding things to them, such as plates of cake or donuts.

Arachnophobes will want to steer very clear of the ‘Spider Cake’ option though, as will players of a more nervous disposition

Modes

You can use the flight simulator to practice flying through the city without crashing into buildings.

Includes additional floors

Fire Deck

If you want to experience what it feels like to become a superhero, use your controller to fly around the virtual world. Put out fires by extinguishing them with a water cannon and rocket hands.

Sky Brush

A painting app where you can use your rocket hands as a brush to paint the sky’s different colors.

Nightmare Mode

A terrifying plank experience. Press 666 on the left side of the board to access it. This is a safety precaution; please don’t let children use it.

Settings

Change the following things to customize your experience:

  • Plank height
  • Plank width
  • Plank length
  • Number of floors
  • Time limit

How to Play?

  • You can download the app from either Google’s or Apple’s app stores.
  • After downloading the application, follow the instructions in order to set up your device properly.
  • Once you’re ready, launch the app, then choose ‘Start’ from the menu.
  • Step out onto the plank when you’re ready.

Depending on who you’re playing with, what will happen next depends on whether you were playing by yourself or with someone else. If you were playing with someone else, they’ll help you get back up again.

If you’re alone when you play, you’ll be plunged into darkness for a few seconds before you fall to your death.

Afterward, you can post your experience on social media.

How to Make a Richie’s Plank Experience Plank?

Creating a real plank gives users an even better experience than using a cardboard one. Here are some tips on how to make your own.

We recommend starting out with a plank size of 2 meters long by 18 centimeters wide. You can change these settings later if needed.

What You Need

1 x Plank

The length of the planks will vary depending on your room size. Remember that you will need a small spot at the beginning of your planks for the elevators. The minimum length of the planks is 3 feet (approximately one meter).

1 x Thick Book or Something Similar

You need something sturdy and stable to support your body weight at the beginning of the plank. A block of wood or a book will help you get started.

When stepping onto the plank, the player will feel a slight drop when he walks toward the center of the plank.

2 x Sponges or Foam

It will help cushion the blow when you step onto the board. As you step off the board, it will move back and forth slightly.

Step 1: Position Your Plank

Place the planks so they’re roughly in the center of the room and ensure there’s enough space for an elevator at the beginning of the planks.

  • Make sure there aren’t any obstacles inside the VR playing environment, including anything like operating ceiling fans, pieces of loose furnishings, sharp objects, plant life, and pets.
  • Make sure your setup isn’t near open doors, balconies, stairs, and stairwells.

Step 2: Place Something Sturdy under the Start of the Plank

It’s essential for users to feel comfortable when they start using the planks.

At our company, we’ve put together a wooden board to act as the base for the first step. We then attached a grip mat underneath to prevent the board from slipping on smooth surfaces.

You can also place a book under your backside during the plank and hold it there to prevent slipping.

Step 3: Place Sponges under the Middle and End of the Plank

Adding weight to the plank will add an additional layer of physical challenge – the plank actually moves when people step on it.

The rubber band prevents the board from falling off the table when it wobbles side to side.

Tips

  • The first step off the elevator onto the planks is usually the most difficult. Don’t start the exercise already on the planks!
  • If you’re not careful, a slight dip in the center of the plank could be dangerous.
  • Save your measurement for the next workout.
  • Add a real-life breeze and place a fan near the end of the plank. Turn it on when the lift opens.
