On Tuesday, Ubisoft announced that Google Stadia players who had previously purchased any of the 37 Ubisoft games available on the platform would be given free PC versions of those titles through Ubisoft Connect, which is Ubisoft’s own launcher and storefront.
Games for Free
9to5Google reported on Sunday that free games began appearing in Stadia users’ libraries over the weekend if they had linked their Ubisoft Connect accounts with their Stadia accounts.
Thanks to Ubisoft’s choice and Google’s commitment to refunding all purchased games and add-ons on Stadia, some players disappointed by Stadia are now leaving the relationship with a free game.

Ubisoft Plus Multi-Platform Access
Stadia players who subscribed to Ubisoft Plus Multi-Access, the publisher’s game library with downloadable and streamable titles, will get an email explaining how to continue their subscription through the Ubisoft Plus website plus a voucher for one free month of service.
Stadia’s Shut Down
Google declared at the end of September that their game streaming platform Stadia, which had been announced in 2019 with much enthusiasm, will be discontinued on January 18th, 2023.
That means players will lose any of the games they played or purchased through Stadia after this date.
Due to the closure, game developers and publishers had to think of solutions for their players, like transferring game saves, porting the game to other platforms, or any other option.
Ubisoft’s Games on Stadia
Out of all the publishers, Ubisoft has launched the highest number of games (37) on Stadia. Out of these 37, only six are not listed on Ubisoft Connect; such as Family Feud, Trivial Pursuit, and Uno Anniversary Edition as well as three versions of Just Dance (2020, 2021, 2022).
For those wishing to continue streaming Ubisoft games on their PCs—some may not have the hardware required for a game from 2020 or 2021—players can still do so with Amazon’s Luna service or Nvidia GeForce Now.
Ubisoft Stadia customers, both game owners, and subscribers will receive a code for one free month of GeForce Now Priority.
