At The Game Awards 2020, British developer Splash Damage revealed their newest project, Transformers: Reactive — an online action game for PC and console platforms.

According to the Transformers: Reactivate official website, the upcoming video games will be available for both PCs and consoles.

Transformers: Reactivate Story

Transformers: Reactivate tells an original story where you play some of your favorite characters who are unique, weighty, powerful, and seamlessly convert between vehicle and robot form as you fight The Legion, the greatest threat the Autobot has ever faced.

A new game set in the Transformers universe will be released later this year.

Option to Play as Characters from Franchise

According to a press statement released by Splash Damage, Transformers: Reactivate will let gamers fully immerse themselves into the universe like never before. It will also offer them the chance to play as some of the most popular characters from the series as they battle The Legion.

Guess that meant we were gonna be one of the Autobots. I picked Trailblazer if he was available. But not Hound! God, he was too difficult to transform.

Release Date

There has been no official announcement regarding the release of the game, but we expect to see an open beta sometime next year.

BulkHead

It was recently revealed that Splash Damage has acquired the Derby-based developer Bulkhead Studios, which is working on Transformers: Reactivate as part of their own original IP.

“Growing up with G1 Transformers in the ’80s means it’ll always hold a special place in my heart, it’s both an honour and a privilege to work with such a beloved franchise,”

Splash Damage CEO Richard Jolly.

“We know fans have been waiting a long time for a new Transformers game on consoles and PC, and we’re going to give them the experience they deserve.”

Conclusion

What do you think about the new Transformers game? Do you think it’s as good as it’s trailer?
