Samsung’s Good Lock App is a suite of customization tools that lets you customize almost everything about your Galaxy phone.

However, for some strange reason, Samsung only provides it in certain markets, and users in unsupported territories have to rely on third-party apps like FineLock and Nice Lock to access all of its functions.

However, that won’t be the case in the near future, as Samsung has officially launched Good Lock in several more countries.

Where is it Available Now?

Despite not having been officially announced by Samsung, some people claim that the app has already been made available for download via the Galaxy Store.

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Brazil
  • Finland
  • Malaysia
  • Netherlands

In addition, the app also appears to be available in

  • Mexico
  • Slovakia
  • Norway
  • Peru
  • Argentina
  • Thailand
  • Denmark
  • Chile
  • Colombia
  • Portugal
  • Sweden
  • the Czech Republic
  • Hungary

Good Lock

Good Lock isn’t just another app; instead, it lets users install different “Good Lock modules” that can enhance the overall experience. Most often, these modules let users change certain UI components to levels that stock Android doesn’t offer.

Some Good Lock modules became an app available everywhere, while others didn’t.

Modules

If you’re new to Good Lock, check out some of our recommended starter kits below. These kits include several popular features from Good Lock, but they aren’t available as standalone apps.

Keys Cafe

Samsung Keyboard is an excellent out–of–the–battery solution for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, but it doesn’t provide a whole lot in terms of visual customization.

Keyboards Café allows Samsung Keyboard owners to customize their keyboards to suit their needs. They can choose from a wide range of colors, backgrounds, and sound options.

Home Up

You can use Home Up to create custom folders for your home screens. These folders appear in a small popup instead of in a full-page view. You can customize the appearance of these folders by changing their backgrounds and colors.

If you don’t want the default horizontal list view for the Recent Apps screen in oneUI, HomeUp gives you four more options from which to choose.

Theme Park

Theme Park is a good lock (lock) app for customizing numerous visual parameters of your interface, including home screens, background blur level, folder type, and even the layout for the Recent Apps menu.

Theme Park is a good lock (lock) that complements Home Up in terms of allowing you to customize different aspects of your interface, including icons and colors.

It’s more of a theme maker and offers a lot more freedom than the preinstalled Material Design colors in One UI.

You can customize the color scheme for individual parts of the interface, including the fonts used in texts and links, the backgrounds of buttons and menus, and even the icons used in the Quick Toggles panel.

Wonderland

We talked about the Wonderland Good Lock app before Samsung surprised us with an even bigger version of the app. Essentially, we think it‘s the best wallpaper generator available for Galaxy devices, and we really enjoy using it during the holidays.

With Wonderland, you create multi-layered wallpaper that reacts to the motion detected by the phone’s gyroscopic sensor.

You can use the module to customize your desktop wallpaper by adding various effects, such as falling snowflakes and rain drops, falling hearts, and others. There are several pre-made wallpapers included, but you can also design your own from scratch or edit existing ones.

Pentastic

If you’re an S Pen enthusiast, then you may enjoy what Pentastic has to say. With this Good Lock module, customizing the shape of the air command menu and choosing a circular Air Command window resembling the old Galaxy Note device designs from years ago.

You can use the Good Lock app to customize your S Pen pointer, which includes a number of pre-designed pointers, but you can also design your own custom pointers.

Thermal Guardian

On the more practical side of things, the thermal guardian module for Good Lock is an excellent tool that allows you to view detailed information about your phone’s CPU temperature.

ThermalGuardian lets you set a thermal limit, see detailed graphs of your computer’s CPU temperatures over time, and also track CPU usage and how it impacts temperatures.

You can use it to create a list of restricted applications, allowing you to see which applications might be subject to performance limits so they don’t get too hot.

LockStar

If you’re not using OneUI 5.0 or aren’t completely satisfied with the new lock screen features introduced by the latest Samsung software update, you might want to take a second glance at Lockstar.
