Fans recently praised Red Dead Redemption 2 as “one of the greatest games ever” for looking like it could have been made in 2022.

Despite the fact that there are still people who want Rockstar to release a PS5 and Xbox Series X/XS patch, they must be doing something right because they’re still releasing new content.

Rockstar confirmed one major piece of news earlier this year: no major content update is currently scheduled for Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode.

The announcement sparked the #SaveRedDeadonline campaign, plus players organized an in-world funeral to mourn.

Well, I’ve got some good news for you. It’s certainly not a major content patch but RDO gamers are being given a little seasonal treat.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Wins & Fails

A recent post by Rockstar Games revealed some exciting news for fans of Red Dead Redemption 2.

If you successfully finish a player bounty, you’ll now receive triple experience points for characters and roles, plus players who successfully finish The Covington Emerald (which ends on 2 January) will earn double money XP for their characters and roles.

As it’s now December, Christmas is arriving in-game and players can expect to see Christmas decorations and Santa Claus’ sleigh. They can also look forward to receiving the Krampus shotgun.

From 15 December onwards, you’ll get three times the usual amount of money and experience points for participating in the event. It runs from 13 December to 2 January. You don’t need to worry about any Rank locks during this period.

There are also tons of freebies available throughout the month of December. You just need to sign into the game on specific days. There’s a free coat, 2k bounty hunter role XP, 3 gold bars, a red Leavitt vest, and free emotes all up for grabs.

You can also buy some festive yeehaw gear at participating in-store retailers. Check out our website for more information.
