Now, Google will show you suggestions for narrowing down your results by modifying your original query.

You can tap on any of Google’s suggested searches to refine your query. You can choose from a variety of topics, which will change dynamically as you tap them.

You can simply type @ and then click on one of the three buttons (Search Bookmarks, Search History, Search Tabs).

  • To search for a bookmark: Type @bookmarks followed by the URL of the page you want to add to your collection. You’ll see a list of suggested bookmarks. Choose one and click Add Bookmarks.
  • To search your history: type @history into the address bar. Then, type your query to see a preview of your previous searches.
  • To search for a tab: Type @tabs, hit space, enter the tab title, and you’ll see suggestions in your address bar.

To enable the Search History, Bookmarks or Tabs chips, type “chrome://flags/#searchable-text-input” into the browser’s address bar. Then click the Enable button next to each one.

Example

You can use any of these keywords to quickly jump from one page to another by simply entering them into the browser’s address bar. For example, if you want to go back to a specific webpage, just enter “@history” followed by the URL (webpage address) into the browser’s address field.

You’ll see the results in the URL bar, so navigation through your history will be easy and seamless.
