Motorola held an event today in China where it launched its latest flagship, the Moto X40. It was joined by another phone from Lenovo, the Moto G53.
The 5G handset comes with a 5000mAh battery, a 120Hz LCD display, and a 50MP primary rear camera. Let’s take a closer look at its specs and price.
Moto G53 Specifications
LCD Panel
The new Moto G53 boasts a 6.5- inch display that produces a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 720×1600 pixels resolution.
Display
It has a cutout design so you can take selfies without having to remove the screen from its case.
Qualcomm Chipset
Inside the phone, there’s an unknown octa-core Qualcomm chipset, up to 8GB of memory, and 128GB of internal storage, which can be increased up to 1024GB through a microSD card.
Camera
On the back, the Moto G5 Plus has a dual 13-megapixel main shooter, which is complemented by a 5-megapixels secondary depth sensor. It also comes with an 8-megapixels selfie snapper.
Battery
The Motorola mid-range pack has a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging.
Android
It runs Android 13 (with the MyUI 5.0 UI) on top of Linux.
Size and Weight
It has dimensions of 162.7 x 74 mm and weighs around 183 grams (5.9 oz).
Fingerprint Sensor
For added protection, the phone has a built-in fingerprint scanner.
Headphone
It has a 3.5mm audio jack and includes all the basic connectivity options.
Moto G53 Price and Availability
The Moto G53 Plus is available in two variants – one with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and another with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. Both variants come in black and grey colors.
It’s currently available only in China. We can’t be sure when we’ll see it elsewhere.
