Released by Apple, iOS 16 was the latest version of their mobile operating system. It added new features to several apps including Mail, Maps, Wallet, and others.

Update

Nowadays, Apple lets you change the color and font of the lock screen, alter widget placements, and switch between different pre-loaded lockscreens.

However, just like any other operating system upgrade, iOS 16 also has some bugs and glitches. If you’re having trouble receiving calls on an iOS 16 device then you aren’t alone.

With its new Pixel 7 series of smartphones, Google has added some useful features that improve the basic smartphone user interface. Check the newest features Google has added here.

Issue

According to reports from multiple users, an issue related to incoming calls is ruining their experience with the device.

Users who were affected by the bug say that when they click on the “speakers” button, they are automatically switched from their phone to speakers even if there is no other device connected.

They don’t automatically turn their phones into speakers when they press the volume buttons. Instead, they’re asked to choose which option each time.

There are frequent updates of iOS and sometimes the issues arise. Follow our website for the latest news on Apple, iOS, and more technologies.

Potential Workaround

We came across a potential workaround that may help resolve the issue for some people.

Users could get around the prompts by changing their call audio routing setting and choosing the default option for incoming phone calls.

However, it should be noted that if there were multiple Bluetooth-enabled device connected to an iPhone, one would still have to select them manually.

We will continue to monitor the situation where iOS 16 users report that they see the “Speak Now” prompt when there are no other devices connected.
