How to Use VR Shinecon?
To Get the Companion App or Not
If you decide to use the manual, you first need to go to the VR Shinecon web page. Then, when you’re there, you’ll see a link for a QR scanner. Clicking on that link will direct you to a different webpage where you’ll be asked to download an app called “VR Shine.”
Once you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll be able to access the VR Shinecon web pages from within the app.
Fortunately, the application isn’t necessary; it’s just some suggestions to help save you some effort.
Insert Your Smartphone
When you’re ready, you’ll need to unlock the front cover of the headphones and slide your smartphone into place. The front cover is held closed by magnets and a small latch at the top.
To release it, you simply press down and then lift it outwards. It’s very easy to do and takes only a moment. Once inside, the headphone case is extremely flexible and can adjust to fit any smartphone.
When you close the cover, you’ll need to ensure that the center of the application aligns with the center of the headset. You’ll notice that there is a dividing line between each eyepiece.
Apply and Adjust as Needed
You’ll want to put on the headset and adjust it to fit well. It really shines when it comes to this. There’s an adjustable dial on the front for changing the PD and FD (incl. within 600° of myopia) and knobs on both sides for changing the distance between the lenses and moving them farther apart or closer together for focusing.
Once you’ve played around with each adjustment option and have a good idea of which one works best for you, you should be able to see things clearly.
You’re in Control
You’ll finally be able to play any game you want, thanks to the Oculus Rift headset. However, since everything is in 3D space, you’ll have to use your head to move objects and interact with them.
If you’ve used Google Cardboard before, then you already understand that there is a magnetic piece on the side that serves as an action button. However, this headset lacks an action button, which makes it less than ideal.
If you want to play a game with a gamepad or Bluetooth controllers, you’ll need to connect them to your computer before starting the game. However, if you don’t have any gamepads or Bluetooth controllers, you won’t be able to play the game at all.
Some apps were so difficult and frustrating to use that we couldn’t control them simply by tilting our heads back and forth. They either moved too slowly or didn’t move at all.
VR Shinecon Review
While this VR headset is not very expensive, it is also not very good, and we would hesitate to recommend it. It is uncomfortable to wear after a fairly short period of use, does not offer a high level of interactiveness, and does not really deliver an immersive visual experience.
It is very simple to set up and reasonably priced, but there are still much better value options out there should you be shopping on a tight budget.

Lens Quality & Setup
It comes without a controller but has everything you need to get started. You can confirm by pressing a button on the side of the device, and there are physical controls for pausing and playing/previously.
You can use these controllers to control 360 YouTube video content and simple VR apps without needing any additional hardware. If you want to experience VR gaming, however, you’ll have to connect a third-party Bluetooth controller.
On the top of VR Shinecon 6.1, you’ll find the three optical adjustment controls that allow you to adjust the two lenses for your vision individually.
Audio Quality
The audio quality on the headset is excellent! It has to be among the best aspects of the Shinecon 6 Pro. The built-in 3.5mm headphone jack plugs directly into your smartphone and folds up neatly when not in use.
Bass is strong, with mid and high frequencies both being clear. ShineCon has also put a lot of effort into making the headphones super comfy. They’re adjustable for length, and they also slide up and down to achieve an optimal fit.
Design, Comfort & Build Quality
The VR Shinecon headset uses the classic 3-pronged approach when it comes to keeping it firmly on its wearer’s head. All three elastic bands are adjustable and use Velcro to fit most heads.
Thankfully, VR Shinecon has made the nose cavity huge.
While the head support is comfortable, soft, and covered in a perforated faux leather for breathability, it’s glued on rather cheaply, so it’s prone to wear and tear.
It’s not bad for the price, but it doesn’t compare to the Gear VR, BoBoVR Z5, or DayDream View.
It has a nice feature where the front panel is removable by using two small magnets. If you want to add extra cooling to your device, you can remove the front panel.
Conclusion
It’s a cheap and cheerful headset, but it has decent build quality. They haven’t scrimped where it matters, though – the glass and the speakers are good.
The Japanese optical lenses sound good, but the speakers don’t live up to their price tag. They’re not built well and come packaged poorly.
