How to Use Bigscreen VR?
To start Steam in Bigscreen VR mode
- Right-clicking on Bigscreen VR will bring up two options: Launch in VR Mode or Play Remote Desktop Streaming Client.
- With the remote desktop streaming client, you can stream your computer’s display to your VR device so that you can play games in virtual-realty mode.
- Click “Play Remote Desktop Streaming Client.”

To learn how to use Bigscreen VR with Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, follow these steps.
Launch Bigscreen from Oculus
Click the three-dot menu button next to Bigscreen. Then choose either Start in VR or Start in Desktop Mode.
If you start the app in virtual reality (VR) mode, you don’t need to go through the remaining steps.
To access remote desktops, select “Remote Desktops” from the menu bar at the top.
Launch Bigscreen VR and Choose Remote Desktop
Now, open up the Bigscreen application in your VR headset. You’ll be prompted to select an environment and then go through some guided setup.
When you’re in your room, go to the Tools menu and choose Remote Desktop. Then press Start.
Sync your VR Headset to Your PC
If you’re having trouble connecting, note your channel ID and then return to Bigscreen on your computer and select your stream type (high/low), and refresh your audio source. Then click Connect.
If you remove your headset, your computer screen will now be streamed into your headset. You’ve successfully set up Bigscreen.
How to Setup Bigscreen VR on the Oculus Quest?
It’s easy to set up Bigscreen VR on an Oculus Quest 2 or 1. Go to the Oculus app on your smartphone and look for “Bigscreen.” If you see it, install it on the device.
You’ll be able to launch BigScreen from your app store alongside your other top Quest titles.

With Pluto TV, Big Screen VR now includes free-to-view, ad-supported content for watching on the go. You can view these videos on the go in any environment within the app.

With Bigscreen, you can invite your friends into the Bigscreen app while you’re watching TV or streaming movies. You can talk to them live in real-‐time without having to switch apps.
It means that you can watch TV shows or play video games together simultaneously.
To join your friend’s Bigscreen session:
- Launch Bigscreen VR.
- Click onJoin Room.
- Enter the room ID of the rooms you want to visit. You’ll be able to see which rooms you’ve already visited by looking at the list above.
The app now supports up to 15 people in one room.
Watch Movies, Television, and Sports with people around the world

Big Screen has added a new green screen feature to its app, which is useful for streaming and presenting purposes.

Remote Desktop
Bigscreen has just released an update for its Android app, which includes full remote desktop functionality.
It’s really cool because it means VR gamers will be able to use their existing headsets for playing PCVR games.
The feature will be ultra-low latency (less than 15 milliseconds) when streaming to Quest.
