Skyrim: How To Get Infinite Shouts Without Mods?

Every new installment in The Elder Scrolls series introduces new powers and weapons for players to wield once they’ve been released from whatever prison has kept them imprisoned throughout the previous game.

For The Elder Scrolls Online, this new power comes in the form of shouts, and powerful spells that allow the last Dragonborn to perform some truly amazing things.

These abilities aren’t meant to be used nearly as frequently as normal spells, but they don’t mean there aren’t any ways to circumvent their cool-down times.

There are many mods available for Skyrim that allow you to play as the true Dragonborn. However, there are also some methods you can use to achieve the same result without using any mods at all.

Level Up Alchemy

To get unlimited shouts, use the Restoration potion trick. In Skyrim, every enchantment counts as restoration spells, so fortify restoration potions will improve their effectiveness when consumed.

However, there is a secondary glitch that means the fortification lasts for as long as the armor is being worn, so you don’t need to consume Fortify Restoration Potions every time you put on the armor.

To get the highest Alchemy level, use a training program with an easy-to-access location, which is available at Arcadia’s Cauldron inside the city of Whiterun.

You need to have at least 40 Alchemy skill points to be able to use the Restoration Potion trick successfully.

Find An Amulet Of Talos

To pull off the second exploit, you’re going to want to use an Amulet of Talus, which increases movement speed by 10% when worn. Radiant Robes in Solitude will usually have one in their store for sale, but they might require resetting their inventory before finding one.

You can do this by quickly saving before going into battle against the vendor, making them hostile, and then loading the saved game.

The pilgrim Karitas, who was found on the road to High Hrothgar during the first part of the quest, also carries one and can be found at a point when using only shouts is more viable, since they will receive the second word for Unrelenting Force shortly afterward.

Roggvir is currently donning one during his upcoming trial in Solitude, but he needs to give it to Greta later.

Create A Fortify Restoration Potion

To start the Restoration Potion trick, you must enchant four items with the fortify alchemy enchantment: a ring, necklaces, gauntlets, and helmets.

Equip these items, then use a Salt Pile and one of the following ingredients to create a Fortify Restoration spell: an Abelian Longfin (easily found in Arcadia’s Cauldrons), a Cyrodilic Spadentail (also easily found in Arcadia’s cauldrons), or a Salt Pile.

When making a Fortify Restoration potion for the first (or second) times, equip the four enchanted gear items before drinking the potion. Then, when you make another Fortify Restoration potion, the potion should be stronger than the previous ones.

Keep going through this loop until you’ve got a potion that is at LEAST 500 percent stronger than the previous one. Any more than that is just wasting time and could cause the potions to glitch out.

Once you’ve made a strong enough brew, equip the amulet, drink the brew, then unequip and re-equip the amulet so that you can use unlimited shouts. It may be a good plan to make more than one brew since there are several times when your inventories are removed and you will need to repeat the glitch.

Find Fortify Alchemy Enchantments

You’ll first want to get the Fortify Alchemy enchantment and four Grand Soul gems before starting the potion loop.

You can get Grand Soul Gems by finding them in the early game. There are two glitchy chests in Dawnstar near the mine and another one in Markarth, behind the Wall next to the Khajiit Vendor.

Both of these chests usually contain at least one Grand Soul Gem and may also have Fortified Alchemical Gear.

An enchanting Raiment is a great spot to find enchanted items and the Fortify Alchemy Enchantment can be found there too, but it might take a few vendors resets to find the correct enchantment.

You can buy cheap necklaces at first, but they might not last long. So you may want to get some new ones later.

Find Four More Amulets Of Talos

The second way to get unlimited shouts is slightly trickier than the first method but requires no major investments in alchemy if players don’t want their shout limit increased.

The second bug requires at least five Amulets of Tallas to perform, so the methods for finding one for restoring the potion should be used to get some more.

Join The Companions Or The Volkihar Vampires

The main aspect of the glitch requires either the Werewolf transformation to be available to players, or the Vampire Lord transformation to be unlocked by completing the game.

While the Werewolf transformation is easier to obtain, the Vampire Lord transformation offers many more benefits, and transforming isn’t limited to once per 24 hours.

Once you gain one of the two transformations, you’ll need to find a follower who doesn’t mind potentially dying.

You don’t need to use any of the non-essential NPCs in Skyrim; however, if you want to, you can always use mercenaries instead. For example, there are two available in Whiterun: Jenassa inside The Drunken Huntsman and Thurgar the Unbroken in the Bannered Mare.

Transform While Talking To A Follower

You should first try this trick before doing it in front of anyone else. It may take some time to get used to pulling it off successfully, so it’s best to save beforehand.

To transform into a different character, you must first press the talk key and then the power key. Then, when you’re transformed, you should be able (if you’ve been successful) to trade with your followers.

Equip All Amulets From The Follower’s Inventory

If you haven’t already done so, give the follower all 5 Amulets of Talon, then equip them straight out of his/her inventories. The glitch allows you to wear multiple rings or neckties at once, even if the effect wears off.

This bug doesn’t just affect Amulets of Talus; it can be used for any Magicka-reducing item to get unlimited Destruction spells.

Conclusion

In conclusion, both of these glitches are fairly easy to pull off, although the Restoration Potion glitch takes a bit longer to set up.

While the first method requires no special equipment, the second method requires a lot of Alchemy experience and a decent amount of luck to complete.

It is possible to combine the two methods together to create a shortcut, but doing so would require a lot of effort and could result in the loss of valuable resources.
