How to Play Hitman 3 in VR?

To play Hitman 3 in VR, follow these steps.

  1. Connect your VR headset.
  2. Start the game.
  3. When you’re ready to start playing, you’ll be prompted whether you’d like to use VR.

How to Play Hitman 3 VR on PS4?

To play Hitman 3 in VR on PlayStation 4, you just need to turn on your PSVR headset and then start playing the game.

Here’s what you should know about Hitman 3’s new VR mode for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5:

  • Hitman 3’s VR Mode is exclusive to PlayStation VR. At present, it is not compatible for use with PC-based VR systems such as Oculus Rift.
  • VR is a way to play games, not a separate part of them. Any progress made inside VR carries out into regular gameplay, and vice versa. It’s similar to having an alternate camera view.
  • Hitman 3’s VR Mode is only available on the PS4 edition of the game. However, if you own a PS5, you can use the PSVR headset to enjoy the full experience of playing in VR.

VR Tutorial

Once you’ve started up the game for the first time, you’ll be asked if you want to watch the tutorial. If you don’t see the tutorial at this point, you can always access it later by going into the options menu and selecting “Tutorial.”

To access the VR tutorial again, go to ICU Facility under the Destination tab. It won’t show up in the Campaigns tab though.

Can I Play Hitman 3 VR on PS5?

It is possible to play Hitman 3 in VR on PS5, but it is not as easy as playing it on PC.

PlayStation Camera

First, PSVR requires the PS4’s “PS Camera” (not the PS5’s “High Definition Camera”). And, the PS5 doesn’t have a PlayStation Camera port.

To solve this problem, go here to get an adapter for free. It lets you connect your PS4 camera to the USB 3.0 slot on the rear of your PS5 console.

DualShock 4

If you want to play Hitman 3 VR on the PlayStation 5, you’ll need to buy a DualShock 4 (or any other compatible gamepad) instead of the DualSense.

Link DualShock 4

You need to connect a DualShock 4 controller to your PlayStation 5 console.

  1. Go to the Accessories section of PlayStation 5 settings
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth Accessories.
  3. Press and release the PlayStation button and the share button at the same time. The light bar will turn white, and it’ll show up in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  4. Select it to register it!

Here are some additional notes to keep in mind:

  • If you want to be able to use the PlayStation 5 version of Hitman 3 for VR, you must first download the PS4 version of Hitman 3. Fortunately, the PS5 version supports the VR mode.
  • If you purchased Hitman 3 on PlayStation 4, you can play it on PlayStation 5 by downloading an update from the PlayStation Network store. Those who own a physical copy of the game can insert the game disk into their console and choose “Game Version” under the options menu.
  • Make sure you launch the correct version of the app. If the app doesn’t say “PS4” at the bottom of the screen when you open it on the PlayStation 5, you’ll be opening the PS5 version instead. Press Options, then go to the bottom of the menu and choose which version of the app you want to use.
  • Hitman 3 VR doesn’t support the PlayStation 4 controllers’ motion controls, so if you want to play it using them, you’re out of luck.
  • Make sure your Dual Shock 4 is fully charged before starting. If you don’t have a USB port available for charging, then you won’t be able to play without an external charger.

Can I Play Hitman 1 and 2 in VR?

You can import the first two Hitman games’ level designs into Hitman 3 and then use the game’s built-in VR mode to experience them in virtual reality. This allows you to replay the entirety of the World of Assassination trilogy in virtual reality.

Hitman 3 VR Comfort Options

Hitman 3 offers a variety of ways to improve player comfort when playing in VR mode, so while in VR mode, a special option is available from the main menu that is appropriately named “VR Comfort.” Here’s what it offers.

  • VR Blinders + strength add a vignette at the edges of the screen when you move, which helps with motion sickness.
  • VR Turn Mode offers three ways to turn. Snap is the default, while Smooth Snap lets you turn in smooth increments. Smooth disables snapping and lets you turn with the right stick like in a First-Person Shooter.
    • You can change the degree and speed settings for both the Snap turns and the Smooth Snap turns.
  • VR Head-Based Movement allows you to control movement by moving your head instead of using a controller.
  • VR Fade On collision turns off when your headset hits something. If turned off, your headset will stick to whatever it touches while your real body moves freely. This makes for a very easy way to induce motion sickness.
  • If you want both of Agent 47’s arms to follow his left arm, then set this option to “VR Left Hand Follow Right”. Otherwise, if you just want one of them to be able to move, disable this setting.

How to Use This Guide in VR?

If you’ve already set up your VR headset, then you’re ready to start using this guide to get started.

There is no easy way to get notifications without having to remove the headset every time you want to check something. However, there is a workaround for this problem:

The PS5 doesn’t have an easy way to access its browser and browse the internet, so this feature only works on the PS4.

Here’s how to fix this problem.

  1. While playing Hitman 3, press the PS button to exit the game and return to the main menu.
  2. Now, open up the browser and type in http://www.ign.com/wiki/Hitman_3 into the address bar.
  3. To change the screen resolution, press the PS button, then choose “Adjust PlayStation VR” from the quick menu. You can adjust the screen resolution by changing the value under “Screen Resolution.”
  4. Press Square to expand the web page so that it fills the entire Theatre Mode panel; you can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+R3 to zoom into the web page up to twice its original size.
  5. Here’s where things get really cool. By holding down the PS button, you can quickly switch between any two applications. With this setup, by holding down the PS button you can instantly switch between Hitman 3 and the internet browser.

You just have to remember that if you open another app, or go into system menu options such as notifications, trophies, or friends, they will take over the internet browser in the quick switch function.

Conclusion

You now know everything you needed to know to play Hitman3 in VR on the PS4.
