If you are new to VR technology you might be wondering how to exit superhot VR.

In this article, we will tell you about this. Let’s find out!

How to Exit Superhot VR?

The most important thing when using a virtual reality headset is that it should not be removed from your head while the game or application is running. This can cause serious health problems, so make sure to keep it on for as long as possible.

If you want to stop playing Superhot VR and go back to the main menu, then there are two ways of doing this:

  1. Pressing the Menu button (the one with three dots in the middle).
  2. Using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + W.

Both methods work fine. However, if you want to use the second method, you need to know what key combination you have to press. To do this, open up the game settings by pressing the gear icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Then scroll down until you see the “Keyboard Shortcuts” section. You’ll see all the shortcuts listed here. The ones marked with an asterisk (*) are the ones you need to press to exit the game.

Superhot VR Review: Virtual Reality’s Most Frustratingly Enjoyable Game

  • A clever and refreshing take on bullet time
  • A fantastic workout
  • Excellent movement tracking
  • Utterly rewarding when you do well.
  • Hitbox tracking can be off sometimes
  • Can get frustrating when you inevitably die
  • Results in a lot of sweating.

Having a Smashing Time in Slow Motion

Superhot VR puts you into a world where you must fight off an army of angry glass people who want to kill you. You must use punches, shots, stabbings, and smashing to defeat them.

The twist, of couse, is that moving makes them (your enemy) run away. And the faster you run, the faster they run. So if there are multiple people trying to kill you, their shots come in quicker as you shoot back.

You turn your body to see where they are and you get hit by an onslaught of bullets.

You soon learn that using small, slow movements ensures time passes slowly. So move like you’re doing Tai chi. That allows you to see incoming shots and avoid them.

It feels like Neo from The Matrix when he dodges bullets, ducks punch, bends and twists to some burbling bass line theme tune.

It’s not easy to grab a falling weapon from the air and shoot multiple enemies at once. However, if you’re able to pull off this feat, it’s usually because you moved too fast and died before you could get a good shot in.

Rinse and Repeat

You must complete each level before moving onto the next. If you fail at any point, you’ll be returned to the beginning of the level.

We found it actually works better if you don’t get too far into any one task before moving onto another. Also, there are lots of different ways to approach each task so you might be able to come up with some new ideas for completing them.

There are usually 5 or more levels per section. However, the game can be played for ages if you die a lot and have to repeat the same levels over and over again.

Each section of the video games has its own set of challenges. To overcome these challenges, you must move around and take note of what dangers are present. Even just glancing at something can cause an attack from nearby enemies.

You’ll soon be able to perform ninja moves, like punching an opponent and then snatching their weapon as they fly through the air to quickly fire at their allies while also ducking the bullets flying towards you.

We also found that we’d end up playing really stupid tricks like shooting guns at each other just for fun, so when the game switched sections we could catch them again, shoot our own gun, and win the round.

If you’re stuck at the end of the next part, but if the guns go down then they fall apart and shatter – so timing matters.

Stones in Glass Houses

Enemies are hilariously simple to defeat in Superhot VR. You just need to throw bottles at them, for example.

There are various items scattered throughout each stage that can be collected and used, including bottle caps, camera lenses, ash trays, knives, and throwing stars.

These items can also be used to deflect bullets (as well as your own weapons). However, ducking is far easier and more useful than evading.

If you’re unarmed, sometimes you have to purposefully slow down time so you can figure out where the enemy is going, and then force him into striking distance.

We soon realized we were moving our hands in mid-flight like we were trying to skip forward in the game instead of walking around on our feet.

You’re able to control time like this. It feels almost like you’ve become superhuman, with the power to influence the entire universe by simply flicking your wrist.

This type of bullet time animation also allows you to take time to think through each and every action before executing them. Of course, if you’re able to break the habit of going gunning for everything right away, then you’ll be fine.

A Punching, Stabbing, Shooting Simulator

We soon realized that each weapon had only one bullet per clip, which meant that you needed to shoot them at their destination rather than where they were. So, aiming for where they would go instead of where they were was crucial.

You need to take into consideration the the speed at which you’re moving when shooting. If you shoot multiple shots, it means there’s less of a chance of missing.

You may be able to get through some sections of the game by punching your enemies, but you’ll need to use uppercuts, left hook punches, and lots of dodging and diving to win.

At first, we thought Superhot VR was just another boxing game. But then we realized that the action is well-mixed between sections: one moment you’re fighting multiple opponents at once, the next you’re dual-wielding sub-gun weapons and blasting your own path to victory.

Later on in the gameplay, you’ll be able to use your powers to teleport around the battlefield and attack your opponents. You need to move quickly when using these abilities, so you might get caught off guard if you don’t know where they’re coming from.

Every time we hear a painful cracking noise, we think “Oh no! It means I have to start over again!” But then we realize that it’s not so bad after all because we’re already doing well enough to keep going. And if we keep playing, we might even win.

We found that the challenge and replay feature kept us playing for hours at a time, even though we were frustrated by our inability to get through some of the harder challenges.

After completing the campaign, you have the option of continuing to play new challenges that include hardcore modes, headshots only, endless wave, levels where you aren’t allowed to die, and so on.

One of these challenges forced us to face an enemy who would kill us if we didn’t kill them first. It was challenging but not impossible. We played for several long sessions before finally beating the challenge.

The Gaming Environment

Superhot VR is a first person shooter (FPS) video games where you control a character who moves through a series of rooms. You can walk around freely within each room, but you don’t actually need to since you can simply stay put and shoot at the enemy.

During our play sessions, we found ourselves moving around quite a bit and ducked and dodged during gameplay. So it was definitely worth ensuring there was enough room outside of just standing space.

As a result, SUPERHOT VR is a sweaty, exhausting game that demands lots of physical activity. It appears that “SUPERHOT” isn’t just the name of the game, but also the result.

We experienced one drawback during testing: sometimes we were able to tell when we had successfully avoided an attack, but our character would still die from the damage.

If you can see the trace from the bullet coming in, then you know where it’s going and where it has been. So if it happens to hit you when you think it shouldn’t, it can be quite frustrating.

It’s not a game-breaking issue, but we just kept dodging away from it every single turn.

Superhot VR is an innovative take on the classic “bullets” gameplay mechanic. It’s hard and exhausting but it’s probably the most frustratingly fun experience we’ve had yet in VR.

Conclusion

If you like games like Bullet Time, then you’ll love Superhot VR. It’s a great game that will make you want to try harder and push yourself even further. If you’re looking for something different, then this is definitely the game for you.
