Will Giannis Antetokoumnos be joining Fortnite Chapter 4 season 1?
According to recent leaks and an official trailer from Epic Games, the NBA superstar is indeed going to join the metaverse soon.
There isn’t an exact release time for the new content, but we know that it will come sometime this year. We’re not sure if it will be released before Winterfest 2022 or after, but it’s likely that it will be added to the store at some point during the festive season.
At present, there are no further plans for any additional collaborations between NBA icon LeBron James and NBA superstar Giannis Antetokoumpos.
However, given that LeBron has already been included in the game, having him team up with Giannis would make it an even pair of icons. Here’s everything there’s to know about the upcoming partnership.
Fortnite X Giannis Antetokounmpo – Is Already Making Waves Online
Fortnite’s partnership with the NBA is not a new thing. The first crossover happened back in May of 2020 and was called The Crossovers.
Since then, basketball became a staple game mode in battle royales. But in Chapter 2 Season 7 everything changes with the arrival of LeBron.
The King was the very first NBA player to receive his own Icon Series skins. He arrived with a great deal of fanfare, and a mural was painted both inside and outside of the arena where he played.
A new variation of the icon series, named FFC LeBron James, has just been released.
When Giannis Antetokoumnos comes to the Metaverse, he will receive a royal welcome from Epic Games and the gaming communities.
Basketball fans are already planning to “copy” his appearance when it becomes available for purchase.
Like LeBron James, Giannis will also receive his own cosmetic bundle in the game. It will include an Icon Series skin with two different designs, a back bling, a pickaxe/harvesting tool, a loading screen, and maybe even some quests.
According to how much the LeBron James Bundle (which includes an NBA jersey, shoes, and a basketball) will cost, Giannis’ bundle will cost anywhere from $2,000-$2,500.
What Else Can Players Expect to See From the Collaboration Between Epic Games and NBA Superstar Giannis Antetokoumpos?
Besides cosmetics, Epic Games is likely to add some games in Creative modes. Since the map is already full, adding some courts on the island won’t fit in well, given its current theme.
As with any major collaboration, there will be some difficulties for players to overcome in Creative. These rewards include experience points and cosmetic items, such as sprays and emoticons, related to Giannis Antetokoumpos and the NBA in general
With everything that has been said so far, we can expect the exact details regarding the upcoming Fortnite X Giannis Antetokoumpos collaboration to be unveiled within the next few days.
As far as gameplay goes, there will be plenty for gamers to do between now and the start of 2019.
