The Verse is a fresh Web3 programming language that places emphasis on the five principles the company has determined to be necessary to establish the metaverse of tomorrow.
The Key Principles of Verse
During the presentation given by Simon Peyton Jones, Koen Claessen, Ranjit Jhala, Tim Sweeney, Lennart Augustsson, and Olin (NYSE: OLN) Shivers of Epic Games, it was announced that Verse will permit socializing in a live 3D space.
The language was created to foster an open economic system regulated by rules instead of large corporations.
Furthermore, the open-source programming language can be used by any programmer, artist, or designer who is interested in it.
The verse facilitates updating running code in real-time, incorporating the various operational standards from different game engines such as Unreal and Unity. Thus, this allows multiple engine support.
In addition, Epic Games will make papers and specifications available for anyone who wants to work on it and offer a compiler, verifier, and runtime under an open-source license free of intellectual property encumbrances.
