Halo Infinite: The Next Chapter

After wrapping up its first year of operation, Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries has revealed that the game had the “greatest launch year” of any Halo game in the franchise’s 20-year history, as mentioned by live-service boss Sean Baron in a blog post.

Game Statistics

During the first year of release, 170 million multiplayer matches were played, 50 million campaign missions were completed, 16 billion enemy Spartans were killed, 2 billion bots were eliminated, 6 million Ninja kills were accomplished and 130,000 maps were created in Forge.

“We’re so grateful for the time you’ve spent with us and the passion you have for this franchise. The year has been full of challenges and opportunities,” Baron said. “Yet, your energy and engagement has driven us.”

Further, Baron remarked: “We’ve made alterations to our team’s workflow and our organization itself. We’re wholeheartedly dedicated to heightening the experience of Halo Infinite through each and every update.”

Halo’s Final Update

On December 20th, one of the final updates for Halo Infinite is being released with free winter-inspired items like Santa hats and reindeer antlers for your character. The Winter Contingency II event will run until January 3rd;

Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer

On the 20th anniversary of the Halo series, Halo Infinite’s multiplay launched on November 15, 2021. Although initially popular, fans soon criticized the game for lack of updates to its live service multiplayer element. As a result, Microsoft ended up taking away the planned split-screen co-op option for its single-player mode.

The Season 3: Echoes Within update for the game will arrive in March 2023, and its TV series counterpart was released in 2022 and succeeded. A second season of the show is currently being filmed.
