First, the designers left a small hole on the side of the goggles so you can charge your phone while using it. Although this can be quite useful, we suggest you make the charging cable is long enough before you give this a try.
The designers also equipped it with strong straps despite the headset being fairly light. But, this wasn’t a problem as we found it easy to adjust the straps and fit our heads.
In addition, the rims of the goggles had cloth padding and foam and leather padding along the straps. So, the goggles were comfortable and easy to wear.
Software
Since the headset is based on your mobile device, you are limited by your smartphone’s capabilities.
One thing that stood out to us is that the headset comes with a QR code so you can quickly download the Google Cardboard app.
The Google Cardboard app consists of many VR experiences that you might like and brings VR capabilities to your smartphone as you use it with your headset. For example, it has a tour guide that you can use to see the sights of Versailles.
Google Cardboard is not available for Android users. But, this isn’t a problem because there are already a lot of VR games available in the Play Store that you can download.

The setup for the Canbor goggles is quite easy. All you need to do is adjust the backhead straps and make sure the goggles fit comfortably on your head.
We also recommend you to make sure the phone is the right size before you start to watch something on it.

We found the layout of the controller to be very confusing. This is because you cannot see the controller once the goggles are on. The tracking of the controller was not very impressive either.
Another important factor to consider is that the controller does not work with iOS smartphones. So, if you own an iOS smartphone you’re better off with another VR headset.
Compatibility
The Canbor VR headset is compatible with iOS and Android. The smartphones have to be 4 to 6.3 inches long to fit the headset’s semi-closed cabin.
However, it struggles with Apple’s hardware such as in iPhone 6 and 6 plus devices. This is because Apple’s system is completely closed. We also had problems syncing our headset with our iPhone devices.

While testing out the headset, the design of the headset was something that stood out. It comes with a magnetic clamp to hold your phone in place, comfortable padding, and adjustable lenses.
Moreover, the material of the headset is durable and lightweight. This made it pleasant to use while being accessible to users of all ages.
User Experience
Although the VR experience of Canbor is not as high as that of an Oculus, it still makes a good unit to enjoy VR games and content. We were huge fans of its design.
However, the headset does lack compatibility. We were not able to fit smartphones other than Android and some iPhones into the headset. Moreover, there is not a lot of VR content for iOS users.
