    Gaming-Nintendo

Every gamer has played Nintendo games or owned its console at least once in their lives.

However, if you’re new to gaming and want to find out about Nintendo, we’ve written this post to help you know more about it.

Moreover, we also suggest you go through our beginner’s guide to help you get started with gaming.

    Quick Summary

In this post, we will go over:

    • Nintendo consoles
    • Nintendo services
    • What games to play on Nintendo Switch?

Without further ado, let’s get started.

    Nintendo Consoles

Before we discuss its consoles, let’s look at a brief history of Nintendo.

As you already know, Nintendo isn’t the only console manufacturer on the market. But, it has been around the longest.

Since its first console in 1889, it has come out with many devices over the years. Nintendo Switch is one of the most recent that gained popularity during Covid-19.

What sets it apart from other companies is that Nintendo’s gaming business is its only real business. This means its sole focus is on games.

It doesn’t have a line of other businesses such as TVs, computers, and movies like Sony and Microsoft to fall back on.

Here are some of the best Nintendo consoles:

    • NES
    • SNES
    • Nintendo 64
    • GameCube
    • Wii
    • Wii U
    • Switch
    • Game Boy
    • Game Boy Advance
    • Nintendo DS
    • Nintendo 3DS

    Nintendo Services

Now that you know the basic information about Nintendo and its consoles let’s talk about its services.

If you’re interested in getting games for Nintendo Switch, you can do that through the Kyoto company. It offers an eShop where you can buy digital versions of games, add-ons, demos, and other apps.

Apart from this, Nintendo also offers a subscription-based Switch Online service. This is a must if you want to play multiplayer games with your friends or if you want to play some of its old classics.

However, if you ask us, this online service is not up to par with its rivals.

For example, Microsoft gives you access to tons of new titles each month. But, with Nintendo, the online service is only limited to retro games such as Pokemon and Mario.

Moreover, both Microsoft and Sony offer cloud gaming as a part of their gaming services, and they award users free games each month. Nintendo does not offer such perks.

What Games to Play on Nintendo Switch?

If you have a Nintendo Switch, there are plenty of Nintendo-exclusive titles that you can play.

    Some of our favorites are:

    • Animal Crossing
    • Mario
    • Pokemon
    • Zelda
    • Super Smash Bros
    • Donkey Kong
    • Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure

Apart from these, you can also find third-party games. But, they’re not as many as you would find with Playstation

Some third-party games that you can play on Nintendo are:

For all of these games, you can either buy a physical game card or download the digital version.

However, it’s important to note that Nintendo Switch does not come with too much storage. So, if you want to download games, we suggest you get a MicroSD to expand its storage.

You can also get a memory card of up to 2TB.

    Conclusion

So, should you opt for Nintendo or go with any other company?

We think Nintendo Switch is definitely worth the investment because of its versatility.

It is also quite impressive when it comes to multiplayer games. As a matter of fact, games like Animal Crossing are a must-buy if you’re a Nintendo fan.

Moreover, it’s a perfect fit if you’re a casual gamer and don’t see yourself gaming too much on the TV.
